Seattle Steins

These plastic steins are very special tourist curios that I brought back in 1958 from everyone's favorite city in the Pacific Northwest. The front has a blue and white badge that reads "Seattle, Washington across the top and shows a bit of the city skyline with the very unique outline of the famous Space Needle.  The tops are actually working lids and each piece has a black rubber bottom.

I remember the year and the visit specifically as I was in Seattle attending The Supreme Assembly for Rainbow Girls and it was a "trip of a lifetime!" I never would have been able to go, but I was honored to have been voted in to represent my local Roswell Assembly and that meant they paid for the trip. We had a wonderful time, and I made lots of amazing new friends. The next year I was elected to State Hope for New Mexico, and I am sure I never would have been elected if it wasn't for all the wonderful friends that I had met on that special trip to Seattle.
