Duckies
These quirky little Ducks are a matching set, so much so that each has five dots on top - making it impossible to tell the Salt from the Pepper. This set was part of Grandmother's original collection, brought back from a friend after World War II and made in Japan. They are special because they were the only pair that Grandmother would let me play with when I was a little girl. Listen to me talk about them in the Meet Kathy video here on the site.
Fun fact: the pictures of this set look a little different than the rest of the site because my daughter was trying to get a picture of them over the Holidays without my knowing. She didn't have her normal setup and had to try and find a backdrop - which ended up being the cotton 'snow' from my Snowy Village. They succeeded, I didn't know these pictures were taken, and the Duckies look like they are floating on a cloud.
