Eggs and Chicks
I don't think these were gifts to me, more likely gifts to Grandmother a little later on. The eyes are holes on both and the pepper has an extra hole in the beak so you can tell them apart. The chicks and the shells are separate pieces, with the chicks fitting snugly into their shells for standing. When you look at the bottom view, you can see there's still pepper in one of them - so these were likely used quite a bit, perhaps in the spring she used them with her clubs. Grandmother was very active and belonged to a lot of clubs - The Garden Club, Eastern Star, Canasta Club, Women's Club and others. These little chicks surely had an active social life too.
